Medical & health professional groups

The Lung Association works with two groups to improve lung health in Canada:

• The Canadian Thoracic Society is a our medical society
• The Canadian Respiratory Health Professionals is our allied health professional group. The CRHP welcomes nurses, cardio-pulmonary physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and others who work in lung health.
• The Canadian COPD Alliance (CCA) is a national forum designed to facilitate discussion, exchange of information, cooperation and collaboration among groups working in the area of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The Lung Association partners with the CTS and CRHP to fund research and to provide opportunities for doctors and allied health professionals to increase their knowledge and skills in treating lung diseases.
