The Canadian COPD Alliance is presenting a pulmonary rehabilitation workshop to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge to implement a program in their local jurisdiction and to allow those that are already involved in pulmonary rehabilitation to review best practices.

COPD Action Plan Survey
The CTS, in partnership with the Family Physicians Advisory Group (FPAG) and the “Living Well with COPD” program has developed a written Action Plan for COPD patients. The Action Plan includes standing prescriptions for antibiotics and/or prednisone and helps patients to recognize symptom changes and to self-initiate a customized prescription in the event of an exacerbation. Please read the invitation letter regarding the survey and fill in the two to four minute online survey.

8. FNSSC Offering Unique Investment Opportunity
The Federation of National Specialty Societies of Canada (FNSSC) and Sprott Asset Management Inc. (SAM) have announced the FNSSC - Multi Manager Fund. 9. CIHR Strategic Plan: Web-based Consultations
Take part in online consultations on the CIHR Strategic Plan by June 12, 2009. The plan is designed to position Canada and CIHR as an international leader in health research. It sets out proposed key directions and priorities for the next five years that respond to scientific opportunities and the health needs of Canadians.

10. Residents and Students: Apply for the CMA Leadership Innovation Fund!
The fund supports Canadian medical students and residents in the creation of non-clinical innovations that will contribute significantly to the advancement of leadership in the medical community. Applicants must be members of the CMA and enrolled in a of the CMA and enrolled in a Canadian medical school as a
medical student or resident at the time of the application.
Deadline: May 25, 2009
Project duration: July 2009–March 2010
