Asthma Education Program
Provides free education on asthma and asthma management strategies. Teaches the basics of asthma, how to identify and avoid asthma triggers as well as the role and proper use of asthma medications. Tobacco cessation counseling is offered if applicable. Also provides instruction on how to recognize and manage an asthma flare up with an individually tailored asthma action plan. Physician referral required.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Education Program
Provides free education on COPD and COPD management strategies. Teaches the basics of COPD, the role and proper use of COPD medications and the importance of exercise in COPD treatment. Tobacco cessation counseling is offered if applicable. Also provides instruction on how to recognize and manage a COPD flare up with an individually tailored COPD action plan. Physician referral required.
