Take control of your lung health with our new BreatheSTRONG course
We're now offering BreatheSTRONG as a series of 12 interactive, easy-to-follow learning modules.
About the program
Regular exercise, self-management education and social support have been shown to improve quality of life in people who suffer from chronic lung disease. BreatheSTRONG is an online, home-based and self-paced course that offers education, exercise and resources to help people living with chronic lung disease to live more confidently and with fewer symptoms.
If you have been diagnosed with COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis or other interstitial lung disease, this program can help you to keep doing the things you enjoy with the ones you love.
You will be prompted to accept a medical disclaimer in order to access the program modules.
Frequently asked questions
How do I access the course?
You can find the course here. The first screen you will see is a registration and disclaimer page with a short questionnaire. Once you fill these out, you will have access to the modules, which you must complete in order.
Why did you create an online course?
Offering the program in this way allows you to log on, track your progress, test your knowledge and print out a certificate of completion at the end. We also took the opportunity to add two new modules to the program, one on indoor air quality and one on outdoor air quality.
