Meet some of the volunteers we’ve counted on for years!

Our volunteers provide critical support that help us to carry out our mission of promoting lung health and managing and preventing lung disease. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them. We are particularly lucky to have a stable core of devoted in-house volunteers, some of whom have been with us for more than 20 years. Meet Mina, our staff volunteer coordinator as well as a few of our cherished volunteers, Sing, Jean and Nida.

Sing has volunteered with us for 23 years, helping with work related to our Christmas Seals and other campaigns, and providing valued administrative support to our special events team.

Never without a smile or a kind word, Sing said it is because of the Lung Association’s ‘family feel’ he has remained with us all these years.

Jean on the other hand, is a newer volunteer. She’s been with us for a few years now. She approached the Lung Association after her father passed away from lung cancer.

And next to Jean is Nida who joined the team after retiring from a career in operations for the BC Childrens’ Hospital. She has contributed countless hours of volunteer support for the past 16 years.

In addition to Sing, Nida and Jean, hundreds of others give generously of their time throughout the year, and we are deeply grateful to each and every one.
